From the short amount time I spent looking at the two sites,I favor Mackin. To me Mackin was easier to use than Follett. I found Follett somewhat confusing. For elementary, the simpler the better. I will spend more time using both, but if I had to make a decision now, I would go with Mackin. I also liked that more than one person could be reading the book.
I looked at them quickly but of the two I too favor Mackin. I thought it was easier to use than Follett and for the elementary level that is important! I also liked that in Mackin when you clicked on the book it was able to be read, where as in Follett from what I saw you had to click through a couple of steps to be able to read the book.
I already have a favorite and I'll share in about a month.
